School Registration


2026-2027 School Registration Information Coming Soon!  

  • Parents/guardians of currently enrolled students will be able to register online through the Infinite Campus Portal
  • Registration will open July 15, 2026.
  • All returning families must register their student(s) online or in person.

New Students

  • NEW students to the Webster City Community School District must register in person at the Administration Building located at 820 Des Moines Street 
  • Birth certificates and Immunization records will be needed for the registration process for any new student PK-12.

Online Payments

  • Parents/guardians are able to deposit money into food   service accounts and pay fees and fines in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
  • Fees for the school year will be posted on July 1st.  
  • The minimum transaction amount is $5.00
  •  $0.35 will be charged to process e-checks.

Infinite Campus

Infinite Campus is the student information system (SIS) used by Webster City Community Schools.

Parents/Guardians are encouraged to request an Infinite Campus Portal account to view family and student information. Parents/Guardians can easily view attendance, assignments, and grades.

Waiver of Student Fees for Driver's Education

Students whose families meet the income guidelines are eligible to have their driver's education fee waived or partially waived:

  • Free and reduced-price lunch
  • Family Investment Program (FIP)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Transportation assistance under open enrollment
  • Children who are in foster care   

Parents or students who believe they may qualify for temporary financial hardship should complete the Free/Reduced application form, which you will receive in the first week of August in the mail from the Food Service department, with the dates they will be available.  Those eligible for Free/reduced-price lunches from the previous spring expire September 10th, each year. 

New applications must be completed, or lunch will become full price after the above deadline.

Pupil Insurance Program

  • Student accident insurance is available to parents, but if parents do not exercise this option, the school does not provide medical coverage for accidents or injuries to students. 
  • Insurance forms are at each building and the Administration Building. 
  • Any questions concerning the insurance program, call 832-9200.

 

Emergency School Announcements

Emergency school announcements, school closing, and early dismissals are broadcast on KQWC (1570 AM / 95.7 FM), WHO-TV, WOI-TV, and KCCI-TV.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grievance Policy

The Webster City Community School District has adopted a grievance policy and procedures for any alleged violation of policy concerning sex or racial discrimination/harassment.  The grievance officer is the Superintendent of Schools (832-9200).

 

 

 

 

 

 

School Buses 

School buses will make their rounds for the first time on opening day, Monday, August 24th. 

Bus routes will be:

  • available at Meet the Teacher Day at your child's attendance center

Open Enrollment

Parents/guardians interested in open enrollment may apply according to Iowa Code Section 282.18 and the Iowa Administrative Code 281-17. 
  • Iowa's deadline is March 1 for grades 1-12.
  • September 1 for kindergarten

The receiving district may deny open requests if one of the following applies:   

  • The application is turned in after the Deadline.
  • The application violates the district's insufficient classroom space policy.
  • The district does not have the appropriate special education program.
  • The application would adversely affect the district's implementation of a court-ordered desegregation plan
  • The student has been expelled or suspended
 
If a parent/guardian moves and wishes for their student to continue at the original resident district under open enrollment (often known as the continuation rule), requests cannot be denied due to insufficient classroom space.

 

Asbestos Containment Enrollment

Webster City Community School District facilities have been inspected for asbestos containment.  The reports are on file and available to the public in the Administration Office at 820 Des Moines Street,  Webster City, IA, or at each specific building in the district
